The Renison mine is located on Tasmania’s beautiful West Coast between the towns of Zeehan and Rosebery.About the mineThe Renison Processing Plant consists of a diverse range of processing stages, including a crushing, screening, and ore sorting plant, rod and ball mill grinding, sulfide and oxide flotation, gravity concentration, concentrate leaching, Paste plant and a contaminated water treatment facility. A feasibility study into tailings retreatment via mineral processing and pyrometallurgical treatment is also currently underway.About the roleWe are seeking highly motivated individuals who are capable of providing effective leadership, performance management, and coaching to a shift crew of 10 personnel to maintain a cohesive and effective work group. You will have the ability to effectively plan, prioritize and delegate tasks associated with the operation of the Process Plant to ensure safety, environmental, production, and cost targets are met.Reporting to the Processing Superintendent, this role will see you maintain a safe work environment and demonstrate good understanding and judgment to troubleshoot plant operating problems.This position is being offered 7 days on 7 days off, rotating day & night shift roster.Core responsibilities·         Focussed commitment to environmental management and safe working practices in compliance with site policies and procedures·         Participate in Hazard Identification, plant inspections, incident reporting, and remediation·         Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe manner and accordance with approved systems and processes·         Monitoring process plant reliability and performance to agreed targets·          Working closely with the maintenance team in the monitoring and planning of maintenance activitiesAbout youYou are a motivated individual with experience in managing production teams, someone who is passionate about developing a strong team safety culture and high standards of housekeeping. To be successful in this role you will have to demonstrate leadership experience and a strong work ethic to deliver high standards. You will have experience in developing team members and achieving production targets. While experience in metallurgical processing plants will be highly regarded it is not essential.
